Lebanon Valley College has recognized 185 of its first-semester freshmen and transfer students for making an impact on the campus as a new student. The Celebration of Student Success reception, held Feb. 21 in the Lehr Dining Room of the Mund College Center, honored the students' achievement. The honorees were nominated by faculty and administrators for standing out in the classroom, in their work with classmates, as student leaders, in on-campus employment, or in extracurricular activities such as athletics, performance, or volunteerism. The following area residents were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester at Grove City College.

The following students were named to the fall 2012 dean's list at Lebanon Valley College. Dean's list students must maintain a 3.4 average out of a possible 4.0.

The University of Scranton has announced its Dean's List, which recognizes students for academic excellence during the 2012 fall semester. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the Dean's List. The list includes students from the Jesuit university's College of Arts and Sciences, the Kania School of Management, the Panuska College of Professional Studies and the College of Graduate and Continuing Education. A total of 1,300 students were named to the Dean's List, including the following list of area residents.

Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pa., has enrolled more than 1,640 undergraduate students for the 2012-2013 academic year, including the historic incoming freshmen class of 409 students, who will graduate during the College's sesquicentennial (150th) anniversary in 2016.

Lebanon Valley College's Student Government has named 27 students to its top leadership positions for the 2012-2013 academic year. The students are charged with fostering understanding, communication, and cooperation among the students, faculty, and administration.

Local students are serving in leadership roles at Lebanon Valley College. Student life at LVC is largely student driven, with more than 85 clubs, organizations, and initiatives entirely run by and made up of students. This means it's easy to get involved, easy to take on a leadership position, and easy to take a new idea and run with it.

Lebanon Valley College has enrolled 1,631 undergraduates for the 2011-2012 academic year, including the largest new student cohort in the College's 146-year history.
